Profile
Holly Dunn is a dedicated mathematics educator and emerging leader at Bishop Druitt College. After completing her Bachelor of Teaching (Mathematics) (Honours) at the University of Newcastle, she began her teaching career in 2020, gaining valuable experience across a range of NSW public schools before joining the Bishop Druitt College community in July 2021.
Dunn is strongly committed to inclusive education and to contributing to the life of the whole school. In 2022, she was appointed head of house (Hollows), a role in which she mentors student house leaders, fosters a positive and connected house culture, and encourages students to stretch beyond their comfort zones. She also enjoys volunteering to manage various sporting teams at Bishop Druitt College, seeing this as a valuable way to build authentic relationships with students outside the classroom and to support their wellbeing.
In 2025, Dunn stepped into the role of Acting Head of Faculty – Mathematics while also guiding her first cohort of Extension 1 students through their HSC. In this capacity, she has led curriculum development for the new syllabus, supported and mentored early career teachers, and remained focused on ensuring her faculty is equipped with current, high-quality teaching resources and approaches. An efficient and organised leader, she balances high expectations with empathy and collaboration, creating supportive, growth-focused environments in which both staff and students are encouraged to thrive.

Milestones
Bishop Druitt College offers more than just schooling—it delivers a well-rounded, future-focused education grounded in strong values. Established in 1991 through the vision of Ken Langford-Smith in partnership with Bruce Schultz, the college has grown into a thriving learning community supported by dedicated staff and modern facilities. Students benefit from a balanced program that blends academic excellence with rich opportunities in the arts, sport, leadership, and more—helping them discover their strengths and build confidence for life beyond school.
In the Secondary School, learning is designed to inspire independence, purpose, and real-world readiness. Students are given genuine voice and choice through innovative programs like elective pathways and project-based learning, encouraging them to explore their passions while being challenged academically. A strong focus on wellbeing, mentoring, and pastoral care ensures every student feels known, supported, and motivated to succeed, while contemporary programs in STEAM, leadership, and career pathways prepare them to become confident, capable, and “world prepared” graduates.
