Profile
Courtney Lewis began her journey at St Martins Lutheran College in 2017 as a learning support officer. During this time, she completed her Bachelor of Education, and in 2024, she transitioned into a classroom teaching role, bringing with her a deep understanding of student needs and school culture.
In 2025, Lewis stepped into formal leadership as year level leader for the Year 9 cohort, a role she approached with maturity, initiative and a strong focus on student wellbeing. After just one term, her capability and calm leadership were recognised when she was invited to also take on the Year 10 year level leader position for the remainder of the year. Balancing both responsibilities, she led with composure, clear communication and an unwavering student-centred approach.
Lewis also coordinated the Year 9 Rite Journey Program, ensuring it remained meaningful, relational and responsive to the developmental needs of young adolescents.
At the end of 2025, she successfully reapplied for the Year 10 Year Level Leader role, excited to provide continuity and support for students progressing into Year 10 in 2026. She continues to build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues across both teaching and leadership and is highly regarded for her commitment to fostering a strong sense of belonging among teachers, parents and students.
Known for her openness to feedback and reflective practice, Lewis consistently seeks opportunities to grow her leadership skills and enhance outcomes for the young people in her care.
