“No matter how many clients I have, I make sure to call each one personally every quarter. It’s a chance to not only update them on their portfolio, but also check on how they’re doing personally”

James Forsyth joined Calrossy Anglican School in 2015. He demonstrates passion for his subjects and an ambition to improve student standards throughout all aspects of his planning and programming. In his first year of teaching, he undertook two HSC geography classes.
Forsyth enjoys attending professional development to improve his pedagogical and content knowledge of his subject areas and to network with other teachers. This is where he became involved with the Association of Independent Schools (AISNSW). He was fortunate to be mentored by Carlo Tuttocuore, an education consultant for teaching and learning/school improvement at AISNSW. AISNSW has provided Forsyth the opportunity to be a presenter at both their geography and society and culture conferences annually. He is also the AISNSW geography convenor, which requires him to coordinate the annual AISNSW geography conference and support teachers in independent schools with geography.
Forsyth has been an HSC marker for geography and is currently on the NSW Independent HSC Trial Exam Writing Committee for geography. He has also been involved in the NESA TENS network for the implementation of the curriculum review in schools. He enjoys supporting colleagues in their professional practice and providing students with effective and meaningful feedback.
