Profile
Braydon Giles is a dynamic and accomplished educational leader. As Head of Senior School at St John’s Anglican College, he demonstrates decisive and intentional leadership through advancing a clear, future-focused and aspirational vision. Central to this has been the development of a distinct Senior School identity – one that empowers young people to see themselves as capable, connected and purposeful contributors to society.Prior to this role, Giles served as Head of Middle School, where he led the intentional redevelopment of the Middle School, establishing a coherent philosophy grounded in a contemporary understanding of adolescent development. This work brought alignment across curriculum, wellbeing, behaviour and relational practice, ensuring that students experienced high expectations and high support.Beyond his school leadership, Giles is actively engaged in the global educational landscape. As Vice President of Adolescent Success since 2023 and through his work with the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), he collaborates with educational leaders internationally, contributing to contemporary conversations around global citizenship, leadership and student agency. His involvement in international conferences, national presentations, editorial work and research engagement has enabled him to network with and learn from educational experts worldwide and has equipped him with the strategic and relational capacities for navigating the complexities of contemporary educational leadership. In 2024, Giles was awarded the “New Voice” in School Leadership Scholarship of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders, recognising his emerging influence and commitment to shaping the future of education. In 2025, he was recognised by The Educator as a Most Influential Educator and named on its Hot List. At the heart of his work is a deep advocacy for the profession and a belief in the transformative power and enduring impact of educators.
