Smeeta Singh is a passionate advocate for social justice in education, with a particular focus on the impact of intergenerational outcomes on student transitions, engagement and achievement. Holding a master’s degree in education policy, her internationally published research on widening access to Go8 and Russell Group universities has contributed to advancing educational equity.
With almost 20 years of experience in the education and community services sector, Smeeta has held a range of senior leadership roles which seek to empower young people through education. Her work spans school improvement, teacher training and child wellbeing, with a strong emphasis on systems-based change that enables meaningful, place-based implementation and amplifies the voices of communities.
As the National Program Director for Power to Kids, Smeeta is dedicated to strengthening prevention and responses to child sexual abuse. She is an unwavering advocate for safeguarding young people, especially those facing the highest levels of risk and complexity. Her work continues to transform the lives of children and young people, helping to create safer environments for them to flourish.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
