Dr Anne Johnstone is a leading figure in Australian education, currently serving as Head of School at Cranbrook School in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and Chair of the Excellence in Leadership and Teaching Council for the Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW). Prior to joining Cranbrook School, she was Principal of Ravenswood School for Girls from 2016 until July 2025.
In 2024, Johnstone was named Global Chair of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN), continuing her long-standing leadership in the field. She is also a founding Board Member and former Chair of the Positive Education Schools Association (PESA) and serves as Associate Chair of the 2025 International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) World Congress.
Academically, Johnstone holds a PhD in Education from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed her thesis under Professor Martin Seligman. Her research was recognised as a Distinguished Capstone. She also holds a BA and LLB (Hons).
Her accolades include being named Australian School Principal of the Year (2024) and Principal of the Year – Non-Government (2024). She was also recognised as one of The Educator’s Most Influential Educators in both 2023 and 2024. Additionally, she has appeared on The Educator’s Hot List for three consecutive years (2022–2024) and has received multiple Excellence Awards for her leadership.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
