Bill Sweeney has served as principal of Hume Anglican Grammar since 2013, guiding the school through a period of significant growth and development. Originally from South Australia, he brings extensive experience from leadership roles at St Peter’s College and Prince Alfred College, where he was director of teaching and learning and head of technology, respectively. He is a passionate advocate for holistic education, fostering an inclusive and nurturing community where every child can thrive. Sweeney holds a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education from the University of South Australia, as well as a Master of Education and an MBA from the University of Adelaide.

Penelope Monger became deputy principal at Hume Anglican Grammar in 2021, after serving as assistant principal – secondary since 2019. With a background in media and communications, she began teaching at Gippsland Grammar in 2010. Monger is passionate about holistic education, student wellbeing and fostering a collaborative culture of excellence rooted in strong collegial relationships. She believes that genuine service to others creates positive outcomes for students and staff alike. Monger holds a Bachelor of Arts (Swinburne), Bachelor of Broadcasting (Edith Cowan), Diploma of Education (Melbourne), Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management (Charles Sturt) and a Master of Educational Leadership (Newcastle).

Along with his extensive experience, he is a senior associate of ANZIIF and a chartered loss adjuster for AICLA. Gow’s previous role was head of property claims at QBE Insurance.

Steve Tchepak became the head of underwriting at CHU in June 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in strata management and strata insurance. He has held various positions within CHU, including commercial underwriting manager, team leader and NSW/ACT underwriting manager.

He is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where he has taught courses on the law of evidence and currently teaches a seminar on criminal punishment from a US-Canada comparative perspective.
