Leadership
Ian Morris is an accomplished educational leader with over three decades of experience in NSW public education. Since 2017, he has proudly led Bomaderry High School, driving a strong focus on academic excellence, student wellbeing and community partnerships. Under his leadership, the school has been validated as Excelling in all 14 elements of the School Excellence Framework and is undergoing a major rebuild to create future-focused learning environments. A member of the NSW Secondary Principals’ Council State Assembly, Morris is recognised for his strategic vision, collaborative leadership and commitment to inclusive, high-performing teams that support every learner to thrive.

Elizabeth Asanovic is the deputy principal – inclusion and support, dedicated to ensuring every student, including those with disability, has the opportunity to experience success. A strong advocate for all learners, she leads whole-school differentiation and provides targeted support for students from EAL/D backgrounds. Asanovic is an experienced head teacher teaching and learning and a committed deputy principal who works closely with families to build trust, clarity and shared direction. Passionate about collaboration, she partners with external providers and community services to create the best possible outcomes for young people, ensuring they are supported, valued and empowered to thrive.

Heather Gardiner has over 30 years of dedicated experience as a proud public school educator. She believes that education is the key to improving life outcomes for all. Throughout her career, Gardiner has held several leadership roles, most recently serving as head teacher – English and relieving deputy principal at Bulli HS before joining Bomaderry HS. She is passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and supporting both students and staff to achieve their best. Committed to lifelong learning, Gardiner continually seeks opportunities to grow professionally and personally, ensuring she brings the most effective and inspiring practices to her educational role.

Bomaderry High School (BHS) is a dynamic and inclusive secondary school committed to providing high-quality education and strong pathways for all students.
