Karen Jebb commenced as principal of Emmaus College in January 2021, bringing with her a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education. A progressive and faith-filled educator, she is dedicated to nurturing students for the future, equipping them with the knowledge, values and purpose to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Her teaching background spans mathematics, science, information technology and religious education, and she has consistently demonstrated excellence in strategic leadership, innovation and school improvement. Prior to joining Emmaus, Jebb served as principal at Genazzano FCJ College and Our Lady of Sion College and held senior leadership roles at MacKillop College and Santa Maria College. Highly respected across the sector, she has received national recognition for her leadership, including The Educator’s Principal of the Year Excellence Award. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in education, theology, business and school leadership.

Bringing a wealth of expertise in education with over 25 years at Emmaus College, David White is an inspirational leader in his role as deputy principal of teaching and operations at Emmaus College. Together with the risk and compliance officer, he also oversees the risk management of all internal and external college events. Under her leadership, one school achieved the highly sought-after Ofsted rating of Outstanding across all areas — a benchmark of excellence in the UK education system. Amanda has a proven track record in curriculum innovation, particularly in strengthening literacy and numeracy during the crucial primary years (ages 4–11). She has consistently raised student achievement well above national averages, with a strong focus on ensuring that every child — including those with additional needs — is supported to thrive. Passionate about school improvement and educational equity, Amanda brings years of experience in creating high-performing, inclusive learning environments where all children are empowered to reach their full potential.

Stephen McMillan first entered the financial services Industry when he joined GE Capital as a finance analyst in 2008, from which he progressed through roles working both onshore and offshore. From there, he moved into Pacific Premium Funding as a financial planning and analysis leader in 2012 and was a key resource in the evolution of the business, first with the successful sale to Macquarie Pacific Funding and then the following progression into IQumulate Premium Funding, where he is now the commercial manager. As commercial manager, McMillan leads a team that is responsible for commercial analysis and business support, identifying and reporting improvement initiatives, and the securitization and treasury functions of the business.

With a rich history spanning more than four decades, Emmaus College is a cornerstone of Catholic education in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
